Liquib 2.3 allows greater control over how source images are displayed, and how Tools and Effects are applied.  A Tint Tool and a Burst Effect have been added.  Two new Mutations for the Mutate Tool.  The Sequons feature has been enhanced.  Upscaling is now adjustable.  Further details follow:  (Also see Liquib 2.3.1)

• Tiled Source Images =>  Prior to this version, when a displayed source image did not entirely fill the window, the surrounding areas would be filled with a Background Color, (which can be chosen through the Appearance Options screen).  The new Tile Source Image option under the View Menu can now be set to instead fill such areas with mirrored portions of the source image.  Further options can then be set to control whether Tools and Effects are applied over the entire tiled image screen, or if they are only applied within the original source image and then reflected just as the source image was tiled.

• Tint Tool =>  The Tint Tool
  
  shifts image pixels according to color gradients that are applied using a variety of techniques.  Red, Green and Blue color Spans, Ranges and Orientations can be adjusted separately to allow for a vast number of possible results.  The Tint Style determines the general shape of gradients -- the choices are Nodes, Rings, Boxes or Blobs.  The gradients can potentially overlap in complex ways when the Spans are set to different values for each color.  The Tint Method can be set to Prismatic, Nacreous, Vivid, Glossy, Night Neon, Dim Glow or Switch to determine how colors are shifted.
  

• Burst Effect =>  The Burst Effect
  
  spews color fragments outward from a central area, usually expanding and perhaps also rotating them.  Each mouse click produces a single Burst, while clicking and dragging the mouse creates a trail of smaller Pops.  The general character of exploding fragments is determined by the Burst/Pop Type, which can be Debris, Shrapnel, Swirls or Thorns.  Detail, Trajectory and Rotation values can be specified to control the density and motion of Burst and Pop fragments.  The fragments are composed of either blended solid colors or are derived from a small portion of the source image.  As with all Liquib Effects, Burst and Pop objects remain active until finalized.
  

• New Mutations =>  Two new Mutation
  
  varieties have been added to the Mutate Tool.  The Equivert Mutation applies 'equirectangular' transformations to an image.  The Introvert Mutation can produce 'little planet' type effects, in which an an image is wrapped around its bottom (or top) edge.  Both of these, (and some of the other Mutations), work ideally when applied to a panoramic image, which spans a full 360 degree view of a scene.  Since source images are often not panoramic, the Mutate Tool can now automatically mirror a source image horizontally so that Mutate results appear seamless and symmetrical.  A new Single Non-Mirrored Image option can be set when actually using a panoramic (or tileable) source image.  As with the other Mutations, these new varieties can be further evolved with the Fractate, Bifurcate and/or Complicate options.  Significant improvements have also been made to the Circumvert and Reimvert Mutations.
  

• Sequons Library =>  The Sequons feature has been enhanced to support Liquib Library files that contain Sequon Options and Custom Sequons for Tools and Effects.  Functions are available to Load a different Liquib Library, Move the file to a different directory and Merge other files.  Sample Custom Sequons for each Tool and Effect are available when Liquib is installed, and new Custom Sequons can be stored whenever interesting sequences are applied that you wish to save.
  

• Adjustable Upscaling =>  The Upscale Window now provides options to adjust the size of Upscaled images.  The Scaled Size is calculated based upon rescaling the current image in the main window at the scale of the original source image, source image, optionally adjusted by a Scaling Percentage.  By default, the Scaling Percentage is set to 100%, which would rescale at the exact resolution of the source image.  The Scaling Percentage can be adjusted from 10% (a tenth of the original image scale) to 200% (double the original image scale).

  The Save With Special Options screen has been redesigned to also allow adjustment of the Scaled Size when saving Upscaled images with enhanced options.
  

Liquib 2.3.1 

Liquib 2.3.1 includes some fairly important fixes and improvements.  As with the recently released Kaleider 5.1.3, the Volume sliders on the Audio Player and Video Player have been replaced by sliders that indicate play progress and which allow adjustment of the progress.  Also, keyboard commands have been added for controlling the Audio Player.  (The Liquib Screensaver has also been updated to Version 2.3.1.)
