Several significant improvements and new capabilities were implemented with Version 1.7 of Liquib. Here's a quick synopsis:
Masking => The new Masking feature of Liquib can overlay portions
of the changeable, evolving screen display with a static background, based on either
a specified Mask Shape or a Stencil image. Background areas can
be filled with either a solid color or another image. The Mask Options screen is available
to configure the characteristics of Masking. It's possible to create
custom Mask Stencil images with the Create Mask function. A Mask actions can be captured in Scripts, and later revised via the Script Control
and Editing screen. Random Masking can be applied during
Automatic Effects, according to
options set in the Automatic Effects Configuration screen.
Interface Scaling => The Appearance Options screen now includes an Interface
Scale option. When using a large, high-resolution monitor, the text and
buttons on Liquib screens and controls might appear rather small and
difficult to read. The size of text, buttons and other controls can be
adjusted by switching the Interface Scale from the default Normal to
Tiny, Large or Jumbo.
Relief Tool => The Relief Tool detects
edges in image elements under the path of the mouse, and applies highlighting to
emphasize them, creating an impression of depth and clarity. A Relief
Width parameter sets the size of the action. Relief Intensity
controls the degree to which edges are accentuated and the resulting sense of
depth. The Relief Basis determines which property of the source image
triggers the application of Relief shading. The choices are
Light/Dark, Dark/Light, Redness Only, Greenness Only,
Blueness Only, Light Only or Dark Only. The Relief
Resolution specifies how finely the Relief Basis quality is interpreted
in the source image, with lower values resulting in finer detail. The
Shading Option controls the type of highlighting, which can optionally be
colorized.
Clone Echoes => A new Echo Clones
option has been added to the Clone Tool, which will cause the replicated
Clone pictures to progressively shrink to a tiny size, and then progressively
grow back to the original size. That cycle of shrinkage and growth will repeat
continuously as the mouse is dragged over the image. If the Stationary
Echoes option is also set, the Echoed Clones will remain where the mouse
was originally clicked and continuously decrease and increase in size. The
results produced by Echoing, and especially Stationary Echoes, will
vary depending on whether or not the Keep Clone in Original Orientation
option is set.
Frost Effect => The Frost Effect applies a
frozen layer of ice over the surface of an image with each mouse click. It
will tend to emphasize edges with a crusty brightness and somewhat distort the
underlying picture. It can be configured to either freeze the entire image
with a single click, or produce a circular Frosty area of a specified
size at each place where the mouse is clicked. Clicking and dragging the mouse
creates a string of such icy balls called Rime. A Frost Basis
parameter determines which property of the source image triggers the formation of
Frost. Frost Intensity and Resolution can also be
adjusted. Various Shading options are available. If allowed to
evolve, Frost will gradually thaw to again reveal the underlying image.
