Liquib 1.9 introduces new Slash and Mutate Tools and a new Beam Effect. The interface has been adjusted somewhat to accomodate the greater number of functions (and perhaps reduce the cluttered appearance). Some further info below:
With the additional space made available by minimized Tools and
Effects boxes, it might be practical to use the Appearance Options screen to increase the Interface
Scale, so that the remaining items appear larger and easier to read.
Slash Tool => The Slash Tool inflicts
various cut or slice type wounds along the path of the mouse as it is clicked and
dragged across an image. The Gash and Jagged Gash Slash Styles
appear to rip through the picture, spreading the image pixels apart to show a
color behind. The Gash can be just a solid color or blended with
another color or blended with the edge. The other Slash Styles,
(Scar, Welt, Gouge, Lacerate, Sever or
Mangle), emulate various injuries that distort the image. The Use
Shading option can be set to give Slash results an enhanced sense of
depth.
Mutate Tool => The Mutate Tool applies
mathematical transformations that produce a variety of unnatural, sometimes
bizarre, deformities of the source image. The available Mutations are
called Evert, Circumvert, Reimvert and Splayvert.
Those basic Mutations can be further evolved, perhaps drastically, by
using the Fractate, Bifurcate and/or Complicate options in
any combination. An Iterants factor controls the density and
complexity of mutant elements. A Zoom value adjusts the relative
magnification of the results, and a Rotate parameter can be used to orient
the Mutation from 0 to 359 degrees. Warp and Skew sliders
can apply additional tweaks to the raw deformations.
Beam Effect => The Beam Effect emulates
shafts of light that infuse a scene with brightness and color. The waves of
luminescent hues can pulsate and throb in rythmic patterns. A large
Beam is created with each single mouse click, while clicking and dragging
the mouse produces a series of smaller occurrences called Rays. The
overall color mix and wave characteristics are determined by the Beam/Ray
Style, which can be Dusty Sunlight, Jagged Rainbows, Blazing
Sunset, Alien Signals, Ghost Whispers, Hypnotic Shadows or
Dark Light. As with all Liquib Effects, Beams and
Rays can remain active after being applied, continually pulsing with waves
of shifting colors.Click to review Liquib 1.8 enhancements
