The emphasis for version 3.9 of Kaleider has been improvements in the areas of image quality and resolution, thus making it an even more useful graphics tool for people who work with large images and require fineness of detail. Here is a synopsis of Kaleider 3.9 enhancements:
Pixel blending causes the shifting of effects to be somewhat slower. If you have a fairly fast computer you probably won't notice much difference, and will likely prefer to keep this option always on. People with older, slower PCs can toggle Improved Quality on/off as desired, for example turning it off during shifting or wandering activity, and then on before saving a final image.
The Full-Scale Window is mostly useful when working with a large
source image (larger than the screen size). It provides the ability to
reproduce effects that were performed on a down-scaled source image in the main
Kaleider window, but at the resolution and quality of the original source
image. Thus, in the main Kaleider screen you can conveniently and
efficiently render effects, manipulate and shift tiles on an image scaled down
to fit within the screen. Then, when a pleasing picture develops, use the
Full-Scale Window to re-render and display the effect at the scale of the
original source image. The position, size and other parameters of the effect
are adjusted up to match the source image dimensions. The Full-Scale
Window display can be scrolled horizontally and vertically to bring different
portions of the image into view.
The Save With Special Options screen provides additional choices for saving
images at customized sizes, including the ability to save tiled images at any
specified Width and Height. When working with a large source image, various
options are available for saving Full-Scale images and tiles.
