The artist Vince Giuliano is a pioneer in the Art KOU KOU movement. To a non-artist like myself, Art KOU KOU seems to be characterized by a restructuring of the 'real' world to convey meanings or feelings, but the quote below, (lifted from Vince's website), describes it far better:
Arbelain is an artist who resides in Spain. He has a very distinctive style that combines many different parts to create wholes that are balanced and cohesive. Some of his work reminds me of paintings by the old Flemish artist Hieronymus Bosch, but his style and techniques are constantly changing and evolving, so it is impossible to pin him down and unfair to categorize his work. I can't always figure out what he is trying to say with an image, but I have the feeling that it must be profound, and it's somehow rewarding just to contemplate it. As with Vince mentioned above, Kaleider is just one of many resources that Arbelain employs to produce his art.
